Thank you for your interest in the Time in Position Project. FightMetric is seeking passionate MMA fans to work as paid timekeepers during the data collection effort.

The goal of this project is to collect data that will record every position change within a fight and the amount of time spent in those positions. Using this information, we can easily create positional control statistics. Just like football has a Time of Possession statistic or hockey has a breakdown of time by zone, MMA can have measures that show how much time each fighter spent exerting positional control.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of MMA techniques
• Attention to detail and passion for accuracy
• Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new software
• Ability to commit minimum five hours per week to project
